The demise of sleep in the human being can drive one mad. Laying restlessly in a bed is a physically manifested oxymoron derived from the brain. Like all things there rests a deeper truth and cause to unrest. A lost love, the rain cloud of failure, or old lunch meat can drive us to red eyes and achy bones. Overwhelming loneliness and paranoia plague the awkward hours. Even the night noises seem to cease. The house breathes in and out as if a Poe story has come to life. The sun is an unwelcome invader. For man lusts for the darkness, but like a loveless marriage he despises it. I find it odd that more than often someone exclaims, "Wake up" or calls someone a dreamer as if it were a felony. Sleep and dreams are what keep us alive. We must refuel the heart and soul, lest we walk a shadowland. A dead world full of shells.

Escape the Empty world. SLEEP...DREAM.
